In Conversation With Anthea Hamilton

In 2018 Vienna Secession and Anthea Hamilton invited Bakani Pick-Up to present a short solo at the Vienna Secession Gallery as part of Anthea Hamilton’s New Life exhibition. The solo was presented as a tool to counter act the the Tartan Space but also served as an exploration into the objectification of black bodies in ‘white spaces’.
